Greg Robinson Posted May 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2007 Bayonet made in WW1 for the Model 1917 Enfield rifle and also mounts on the "Trench" shotguns. Originally mated with a leather and steel M1917 scabbard. But since the WW2 shotguns also used this bayonet the WW1 scabbards started becoming scarce so this plastic scabbard was adopted in 1945.
