I have small sealed plastic pouch that contains two rifle sling swivels. Does anyone know what rifle they went on? Did they go on the M14 rifle? M16 rifle??

The Ar-15 series of rifles uses a (rear)sling swivel that is pinned into a metal cylinder, than that is pined into the stock. The M-14 front swivel is the conventional "loop on a plate" type. The rear swivel is the M-1 Garand style. The date puts it for M-16, but hard to tell, dose not look right....

Not for the M14 or M16. Could be the front swivel on an M79 or a shotgun. Ask Mr. Bill Ricca.

Might be for an "end cap" mag tube mount for a non trench type shotgun?
Anyone got some good pictures of an M-79 showing the sling swivels?

Doing a seach on the public WebFLIS site yielded the FSN was assigned in 1963, cross references to a PN of 7269188, and is part of a 7.62mm weapon system. It is only one digit off from being an M60 swivel but it obviously isn't and I have no idea otherwise. Dirteater had a good idea-endcap swivel.
