This was in a bunch of Records my friend bought last year at auction.

He knew i liked this kinda stuff....

Yep...I remember seeing that record album. And I went with my parents to see the movie when it first was released. At the time it was a wonderful war movie. Today, we criticize all the technical errors. It won an academy award for special effects if my memory is correct on this....for the German fighter strafing scene on the beach. Today with computer generated effects it's no big deal.

Anybody but me notice the writing on the back of the record giving two different stock numbers....one for mono and one for stereo? I remember buying records when you had to pay an extra dollar for stereo vs mono.

Yep, I remember the extra buck for stereo. In high school (1961-1965), we could get mono LP's for $3.95 and stereo for $4.95. That was a big deal to a kid in those days when the minimum wage was $1.15-$1.25 an hour!
