Here is a wing that i can't ID, this came in a group lot of Military insignia with many OLD pieces that were good and correct for ww2 period.
I more than got my $$ back out of selling the "leftovers" that i didnt need from this group.

I thought i read somewhere that the original wings had a solder hinge to base application??. and the pin opens up at 90 Degress only. there is no maker mark.

The wing looks like somw of the modern made wings I have seen except with a blue star vs. 8th, 9th,... AF insignia. It could also be a sweetheart wing... see below to compare.

Could it be a civilian contract school, the guys who did the early training for pilots? Just my two cents, Mark.
