I picked up this photograph at an antique store today. I don't normally pick up photos but this one appealed to me because it was from World War I and because of the USS Utah cap tally. I can't quite make out the rating but it appears that he might be Boatswain's Mate, 2nd Class.

The Utah was stationed in the Chesapeake for most of World War I. She was fitted with radio controls and served as a target ship between the wars, and of course she was sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
