scottplen Posted April 14, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 14, 2007 heres a group of items my uncle gave me they were his Brother in laws Edward M "reds" Loftus from Phila Pa who jumped across the rhine with 17th AB 513th regt. and was severely wounded in foot and leg (he later died in the late 40s or early 50s of a blood clot due to his wounds!) items are great 513th patch : wool CIB:a wool jump wing ;tam jump wing :sterling pin back jump wing 17th airborne patch and a weird variation 13th ab patch:Still waiting for his bronze star and his Ph medal and pin back CIB and some pictures my uncle says I can have them when he gets them out of storage ! also says he has a army coat of his! I must admit, had I seen it on Ebay, I would question it. But, it has provenance. Very cool variation. I just noticed the 17th A/B Div patch has one of those scarce "wrap around" airborne tabs.
