Help Identify Aircraft Seat.

Hi

 

I was given this seat a few years back, since then it has been stored away. I have no idea as to what it is, I was told it was from a US military aircraft. Whether this is true I do not know, it is a topic I am not familiar with.

I am unable to find any markings.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

I would almost not want to comment on this but it just does not seem to be a military aircraft item ,for one it looks to comfortable and thick not the AF style plus aircraft seats are made to be compatible for parachutes.the tan or khaki would not fit with 1950's plus air force aircraft equipment just to name a couple things
