Here is a close up of the painted squadron insignia, the dice are bordered in yellow which might have something to do with the flight he was assigned to.

One of the entries in his service book is a performance report from William O Lowe USMC ( DSC, Navy Cross) Squadron Operations officer.
" During the Verdun Offensive Lt. Parr, was called upon to take and executed the most difficult missions, and always returned with the most valuable information" Nov. 16th 1918

Your display is shaping up very nicely and it's interesting watching your work in progress! I especially like the Parr grouping! http://www.usmilitar...tyle_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif

Bugme,
I think that is one of my favorite gorupings, and with the addition of the other 90th stuff really is something all set up this is about 85 % of it. I don't want to display the photo albums in the open I have 2 of them, I want to get some type of display case built before I do that. Paul

Simply a fantastic set up. Having not only a blank slate to work with, but a big room must be nice. Your airborne uniforms are outstanding. I also like the WWI area. I'm starting to like that era, but my bank account is saying "No way!" Truely some nice desirable items.

A bit of an update on the room, finally able to get the monolith of a pool table out of the middle of the room. This allowed a lot freer flow to the room and I was able to add a few Ikea display cases. Enjoy Paul..

this case contains stuff from the Parachute School and Bragg, Benning and Mackall.

second one is items used in jump operations, flanked by Normandy jumper and Market Garden jumper in full harness and equipment.
