This in an incredible letter from General Doolittle he wrote in July 1943 when he was the commander of the North African Strategic Air Forces . He wrote the letter to a friend of his that worked with him in the aviation department of Shell Oil in the 1930's . I just love the way he addressed the letter and it was delivered. Today you would need three suite numbers, a floor level, "Care Of/Attention", a 72 digit zip code and 3 bucks to HOPE it gets there.
