Weaver did supply optics for the 03A4, the civilian designation for the scope is a 330C with a military designation M73B1, these are the only two that I have ever heard being on a A4, when I collected 03s mine had the M73B1 early A4s could have the 330C because the military needed scopes and weaver had civilians ones on hand for immediate ship, so an early A4 could have a 330C, later afterwords and into Korea they had I believe this is the right number M84 scope like the M1.

It looks like that scope is marked "J C Higgins", I believe that is a trade name of Sears brand products.

In my humble opinion just someone trying to pass it off as an original or possibley if they couldnt find a 330/M73B1 they just substituted what they could find for display or use.The scope looks real close.I have a couple early weavers that are real similiar to the one you posted. With out a little checking I would say Weaver could have made these for JC Higgins.Sure is a close copy to the Weaver made ones.

One thing you can look for on a O3 sniper(on the Army style) is when they mounted the scope base the serial number will be below the blocks on the side of the reciever ring. Most I have handled are done on a O3A3 rifle. If its a standard 03 that someone has "sniper-ized" the blocks will cover the serial number.
Century Arms I believe is offering a WW2 type 03 sniper with the 73B1 scope.I saw it advertised a while back and I think they were to be avaiable in April of this year.I dont know who is making the scopes and mounts or how good they look.Suggested retail was to be in the $900-$950 range.
