The Combat Infantryman Badge

Over the years I've had an interest in embroidered CIBs & EIBs.

For a starter here are some with award ribbons.

This is a very nice example. Easier to find ribbon bars with a bullion CIB than examples like this that are embroidered.

Saw this one on eBay and thought it was different enough to post the pics. Sold by Oryon, an Italian company (made in China). Would be interesting to see if it has any markings on the back. A quick Google search shows that Oryon sells all types of US and foreign "replica" military badges.

BILL THE PATCH

Here's a odd ball, I'm not sure if it's faded, or made this way (error), but it's a two tone enamel. It came off a 11th abn div uniform, it's kinda cool lookingpost-11207-0-91594300-1499289551_thumb.jpg

Here are some more of my embroidered/bullion CBIs & EIBs. These are on Khaki material. The bullion on the top has KOREA hand written on the top.

All nice ones, MECHINF-A15. Especially like the very first one with what almost looks like a sawed-off stock!

Here's a new bullion badge I picked up. Only about 2.5in wide, so not full size but a little larger than a "mini" badge.

Background is hand embroidered blue thread.

Nice one ... the CIB wreath is different than anything I've seen. As for the musket: that's about as minimal as it can get. Again, nice find!

Thank you, MilRGRHistory ... I'll check with him. As an aside how are you doing with your lapis CIBs "project"?

It somewhat fell through at this point...I may be able to pursue some more opportunities in the future but it would be next year some time...
