This is one I picked up at a local antique store around 8-10 years ago. Unfortunatly it is unamed. It has a beautiful theatre made CBI & AAC patches. It also has awesome theatre made ribbons. The 1st ribbon is for the British Burma star. I dont know if this soldier was awarded this medal or added it to dress up his uniform for the folks back home.

Here is a CBI bush jacket and cap that came together and were made in india according to the markings. This is a salty example that spent a lot of time in the hot sun! There are markings where a set of wings once resided!

Theater made Khaki Ike jacket made for F/O Omer C. Horton, a Service Pilot from the CBI. Several other of his uniforms reside in other collections, I don't know whose though. His other dress uniform sold for over $400 a while back.

Here is a group that belonged to Thomas C Neal. It has a nice bullion CBI patch. The interesting thing about this uniform is that when I recieved info from Nara the records stated that he was also entitled to the EAME campagn medal.

My favorite CBI uniform, bought from the son of the vet who didn't care about his father's service or items....Very complete set that came with an extra bullion patch and mint leather flight jacket patch!

BTW...I added the Flight officer rank for display purposes only.

Hi Folks,

One Pilot Officer uniform:

DEAD LINK 1/22/15

Doinworkinvans

I found this uniform a many years behind in a small city of New York State.

It was in one garage sale and the salesman did not want me the medals and denied in saying me the name of your parent. Only said me that it finished the war as Major.

Notice: one airman with 2 BS + AM and DFC.

Best regards,

Ricardo.

Justin,

Can you do close ups pics of the front and back on the khaki items? They look more like US made to me. Thanks!

Are the ribbons sewn on? Was it the seller's father?

Here's another CBI bush jacket -- khaki cotton and patterned after the British. As usual, it is missing its belt.

This one is attributed -- it was given to me by a former neighbor, Eugene D. Hill, originally of Youngstown, OH. He was a liasion officer with the 2nd Chinese Army. Note the pin on the pocket flap.

He marched DOWN the Ledo Road from China to meet US troops marching up. He probably had enough time "in combat" to rate a CIB, but never got it. Never got the Bronze Star that would have meant either.

Years later the Chinese government (Taiwan) sent him the medal on the coat in appreciation of his service.

And finally the last of my CBI uniforms. Unfortunately it is unattrbuted. Oh well, it does have his last initial and last 4 digits.

Gil,

Are the last four "R-0386"?

Possibly through the NARA website. Do you have any more info? Possible state he was from?

My best guess is Cleveland, OH area. It came from a fellow I knew on the east side. He had severl pickers. I am pretty sure it was local.
