jim46 Posted January 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2009 I am a new member of this forum and am more of an accumulator than a serious collector. Among my accumulations are a number of dog tags. I read most of a recent thread on here about these tags, and it seems that some of the more experienced collectors have some way to find out about a man's record just from his service number. I know that I can find out such information through the National Archives, but the only way I know how to do so takes a long time--weeks--to get any information. I would appreciate someone posting any shortcut that may exist so that I can find out about some of the men, and women, whose tags I have. Thanks.
