BC312 Posted March 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2007 I have a set of Headphones R14 with leather head band, as used by AAF pilots. The leather, frame and ear phones are in excellent condition. The wiring is a real mess. There is no lead as it was replaced with a bodge piece of curly wiring with modern jack plug, this is all frayed and deteriorated and not original. There are no rubber ear pieces that cover the bakelite phones. What i am after is some one who has a mint set they could photo for me showing the detail of the wiring and how the lead connects into the headset. Would anyone know where i could get replacement wiring to match and would any one know where i could get replacement ear covers or at least one so i could make a foam or rubber set. I hope to use them on my working BC312 set i have. At the moment i use HS30 headset but they are really uncomfortable as they dig right into the ear hole. Charlie Flick Posted March 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 11, 2007 BC: You might want to try Garcia Aviation. They usually have a lot of bits and pieces like what you are searching for. See the link: http://www.garciaaviation.com/cgi-local/st...57.20684*L73m90 You might also try Bell's Aviation at: http://www.bellsaviation.com/ Hope this helps you.
