Need help to identify this World War Service Medal, marked in the reverse: "ROBBINS CO / ATTLEBORO / STERLING"

Obverse has enameled letters "ST. M C U" but not sure of the order of the letters.

The crown in the center may be masonic.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jay

It is a Royal Arcanum medal but not sure yet what the letters mean. Thr Royal Arcanum was a fraternal benefit society that was formed in Boston in the late 1870s. I am aware of one that was given to members from Queens NY. If I can find the lodge that your medal belongs to I will let you know.

I believe the letters mean United Mass state council. The lodges were called councils the st I believe means state and since it was began in Mass the m stands for Mass. that’s the best I can do. If you ever decide to part with it let me know. I have over 1,000 City medals so would be interested
