phantomfixer Posted March 22, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2020 the L-4, in WWII and most likely later was equipped with a makeshift tool kit.. specifically for pilot use....as read about over on the G.503 forum, started by L-4.. A current L-4 pilot/owner the kit consisted of the AAF small tool roll and tools added and used in case of an emergency.. Here is my version based on the tool inventory provided by L-4...most of the tools are WWII era, and a few are WWII specific a link to the G.503 thread https://forums.g503.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=272244

Thats a great find.....6 inch or 8 inch pliers? looks to be a switch lever...between the handles, and in upper left part of BC-366 interphone control box? kein Posted December 29, 2021 Share #5 Posted December 29, 2021 Hello Phantome, are smaller 6 "inches and I am now inclined to believe that they belonged to the equipment of the bomber (attached photo here from the forum). I also found fragments of the computer and part of the compass. I have a large number of artifacts, I gradually want to publish them in relation to the individual threads of the forum in the context of the story of objects that have gone through a real fight. flightmac Posted February 9 Share #7 Posted February 9 Thank you! I've had a (early) U.S.A.F. B-2 pouch exactly like that for years. I've searched (it's been a while) to find out what tools it was designed to hold. I just randomly started looking through the threads and stumbled across this. Now the search is on for vintage tools to fill it!
