WWII - Western Union Telegraphs

Found these while out and about. Matching telegraphs for him being wounded and returning back to service. From his file I was able to find out that he was also awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was shot in the leg in July 1944, but for this wound he got fragments from artillery in his foot and ulna.

I've always thought that telegrams hold far more emotion than about anything else for families. Before being opened can you imagine what the family is thinking?

Right... I cant even begin to imagine. Especially since his mom would have received one earlier from when he was shot a few months earlier.
