Good morning all,
I would have liked to have your help to identify the soldier who wore this helmet liner. This liner was found in Normandy, a very long time ago. The soldier's two initials are inscribed on the front: S S. The name inscribed on the interior is: SIMEONE or SIMEOME.
Thanks for your help.
Laurent

Page 4 lists 7 different "S, Simeone" it came up with no results for "Simeome"

Not sure how much more can be done, but if you have access to 28th ID records you may be able to find a name listed which would confirm you search.

Good luck!
Hunt
