RDUNE Posted March 15, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2020 Hello all, I picked up a parachutist badge at an estate auction today and they were dated and named. I'm still working on the details of the recipient. The back is engraved: 1-12-45 155 Ray La Bombard I suppose 155 might be 155th Airborne Anti-Aircraft Battalion? The potential match to the name might be the same trooper who went on to be in the 1st Special Forces... https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/109577213/raymond-e_-labombard https://army.togetherweserved.com/army/servlet/tws.webapp.WebApp?cmd=ShadowBoxProfile&type=Person&ID=297828 I've been hesitant to get into wings and this is my first pair of jump wings. I just wanted to post these for thoughts & opinions. Thanks, -Ryan
dhcoleterracina Posted March 15, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 15, 2020 Great wings, especially for your first. I imagine that it becomes addictive.

RDUNE Posted March 20, 2020 Author Share #8 Posted March 20, 2020 Thanks for the input on these. If the NPRC ever re-opens I'll send off for his records. Interestingly enough I picked up another pair of jump wings from a different source a couple days ago that are initialed and dated. I'll be posting those on here as well. Thanks again -Ryan
