patches Posted March 8, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2020 Just came across this, something we know was done across the nation in WWII. Local members serving in the Armed Forces, portraits, mostly formal, donated by the families, in this particular case n Lancaster Penna. In Cites and towns large and small, in the very big cites no doubt in neighborhoods, take like say New York City, in say the Upper West Side of Manhattan in Bushwick Brooklyn, etc etc,

Mr.Jerry Posted March 8, 2020 Share #3 Posted March 8, 2020 Very nice- I saw a small shop do this for a memorial day and that inspired me to do it at my shop as well.
patches Posted March 8, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted March 8, 2020 I think if a serviceman was killed a Black Ribbon might of been added to portrait right.
Wake1941 Posted March 8, 2020 Share #5 Posted March 8, 2020 Great photo, dont see many like this. Probably a home town store, Id assume the families contributed the photos
