AZPhil Posted February 22, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2020 I have been looking for a matched pair of these for a while, But have only found singles being sold. I found this matched set for sale on a FB page and went for it. I don't collect these, but have a passion for the AAC/AAF, My next set I want to add will the a pair of the 8th AF. Nack Posted February 22, 2020 Share #2 Posted February 22, 2020 Nice! There's a neat book (an old school one) on AAF DIs. Massaro I think was the author's name.

AZPhil Posted February 22, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted February 22, 2020 Thank you Gent's. Excellent pic's Patches. The first pic is what I would like to recreate, Well not the General stars but and ealy AAC uniform wearing the sam brown belt. Something else I just picked up. That was my main reason for picking these up. I wasn't sure what type of patched uniform I should look for , but your pic shows that quite well. Thanks!!! That second pic is of an actor, but I don't remember his name???? Semper Fi Phil

Semper Fi Phil You are correct sir, that is Edward O'Brien, when O'Brien was in the Air Corps during the war, 1943 to I guess sometime in 1945-46, not really sure what he did, as he was already an established Broadway and Hollywood actor, so he most likely would have been in Special Services, he did play in both the Broadway Stage Production and the Motion Picture version of Winged Victory, the tribute to the Army Air Corps wartime moral booster.
