dustin Posted February 9, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 9, 2020 The individual standing on the right has a unique knife in his M8 scabbard. I'm assuming, a German souvenir. The handle characteristics seem German in origin to me. I just thought it was interesting. Caption for the image

Misfit 45 Posted February 9, 2020 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2020 Don't know about the knife, but the scabbard seems to be a USN Mk2 scabbard. Marv
dustin Posted February 9, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted February 9, 2020 Duh! Good eye on the scabbard. Perhaps a modified MK2 knife with custom handle.
Silvio Posted February 9, 2020 Share #5 Posted February 9, 2020 Looks like a German dress bayonet
sactroop Posted February 9, 2020 Share #6 Posted February 9, 2020 I do see the resemblance to the kind of lines seen in some German blades, (maybe). We'll probably never know for sure. MK2 sheaths can carry a variety of blades when their dimensions are correct. Just don't recognize the pattern to a specific known knife. Those theater made knives we can be confident in run the gamut in styles. Thanks for posting dustin.
