Interesting Studio Portrait.

Couldn't pass this one up for 7 bucks.

 

Just thought it was interesting. All three kneeling, absolutely no insignia except all three have CIB's, photo studio stamp on reverse (Klatovy [Czechoslovakia]) Klatovy was liberated by the US Army in May of 1945.

 

Any thoughts? Anything stand out?

First best guess these are from the 2nd Division.

The 3rd army was in or around Czechoslovakia that time. My grandfather was in the 97th and saw he was in Czechoslovakia and they were attached to the 3rd army with the 1st div, 2nd div and a few others

Could have been kneeling if the rest of the painting was lame or more of the detail was in the bottom portion. Could have done some heavy fighting hence the CIB and the wooded area really depicted their combat experience.
