otter42 Posted February 2, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2020 I've had this flag for a long time, always thought with the brass attachments that it may had been for the Navy. Faint DSA 100 67 markings, I believe it's a 3×5 foot flag. What are your thoughts? Thanks Ken
dhcoleterracina Posted February 2, 2020 Share #2 Posted February 2, 2020 It's a Vietnam era Navy flag. It is a rope edge, ring top, buckle bottom type. Navy didn't have a 3x5 but instead had sizes from 1-12, 12 being the smallest. The closest size to a 3x5 is a #10 which measures 2.9' by 5.5'. Probably nylon. We discussed these in a recent thread under the "is it real" section. Someone on ebay was claiming a home flag to be one that flew on a river boat in Veitnam. otter42 Posted February 2, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted February 2, 2020 Thanks for the conformation. The thread you talked about is what made me think of this flag. Thanks again for the info. Could this have flown on a PBR?
