I have never seen any fake of this rare jump case.

Hiya Manu - if I can find the pics of the last one that was for sale, I'll stick them on here. I'm sure I saved them, but can't find the damn things right now!!! As for this one, if you know for definite it was found 30-40 years ago, then I'll stop quibbling.... ;)

Cheers,
Glen.

One of my 502nd PIR helmets. This D-Ring was worn on D-Day by Arthur Bowers, A/502. Found at St-Côme-du-Mont in 2000

Very nice!, can we get more pic of this helmet! :w00t:

Hi,

sorry for my late. Just got time to take a few photographs of my collection....

First, as requested, closer pictures of the insignia of this helmet. White tape was added to fix the liner inside the pot. This is a fixed bail with regular infantry straps as they used in Normandy. Unfortunately, this is not the original liner of the helmet. Just found the pot empty many many many years ago !!

Recently purchased this 502nd liner identified to a Stewart. This is Westinghouse 2nd pattern, not used in Normandy. This is not exactly what I collec but I like it.

Posted Image

And also purchased a few months ago this relic. It comes from Normandy, apparently from Ravenoville. Not in very good condition, but interesting.

I also collec dresses or other made from canopy, for exemple.....

This small dress for girl, with suspension lines around arms.

Posted Image

This communion dress offered to me by the woman who made it and worn it. She was from Turqueville.

Posted Image

This dress made from a yellow aerial delivery canopy.

Posted Image

This nightdress which comes from Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, still with the AN markings !

Posted Image

or these camo pants I have found at Sainte-Mere-Eglise.

As you know, I really enjoy A-2 jackets worn on D-Day by C-47 pilots.

This is the last one I have recently purchased. It belonged to Frank Mendola. On D-Day, Frank was in a/c #42-93004 - Chalk number 78 - serial 12, 94th TCS / 439th TCG. The crew was ; pilot : 2nd Lt. Martin N. Neill - co-pilot: 2nd Lt. Carl E. George - radio: Cpl Frank Mendola - Crew-Chief: Sgt. Oscar Knapp. This aircraft dropped F/506 men, with Lev, Knudsen (Bazooka man), etc...

The jacket is not in very good condition but I really enjoy it.

Hi,

impregnated HBT jacket with original sewn SSI of the 4th infantry division. This jacket was found with another one a few years ago at Montebourg. Never touched, still impregnated.
