Tonomachi Posted January 28, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2020 I have a question regarding service stripes on WW2 era Army officer dress uniforms either the Ike Jacket or regular 4 pocket dress uniform. I've been looking at a number of photographs of different officer's uniforms from WW2 and all I see along the lower left sleeve are the overseas service stripes but have yet to come across a WW2 officer's uniform with a regular service stripe on the lower left sleeve cuff that you find on WW2 enlisted uniforms. So my question is did WW2 era officers wear regular service stripes on their dress uniforms like enlisted personnel?
KurtA Posted January 28, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2020 Army Officers never wore the 3 year service stripes. Only enlisted men. Same with service stripes of other branches.
