BEAST Posted January 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 26, 2020 So, I found these boots while cleaning out a basement that had been flooded. Although they are dark, they are brown, have a cap toe but no holes, and a full composition sole. Only makings that remain are on the side of the boot and the sole. They remind me more of a WWII service shoe, but Id like to hear what our members think.

Bodes Posted January 27, 2020 Share #5 Posted January 27, 2020 The size next to the square on the side certainly mimics military style boots....This along with the capped heels and toes...Bodes
BEAST Posted January 29, 2020 Author Share #6 Posted January 29, 2020 Thanks Bodes for your input. I agree that they definitely have a military style about them. So, I found reference to a WWII pair of 1943 double buckle boots with the soles made by the same manufacturer and a pair of M1948 combat boots with the same sole manufacturer ("LIGHT TREAD HT"). What about the cap toes without the holes? Anyone have an example of these for WWII?
