You will have to be more specific. First what you mean by Khakis, I assume you mean the cotton chino pants and shirt worn as a summer service uniform, people will apply the term to all sorts of things. According to Shelby Stanton in US Army Uniforms of the Korean War khakis were not authorized in Korea except for certain specialized troops (like bands). Outside of Korea they were worn, but depending on the time line, with khaki, green (as pictured), black or no tie at all. The black tie didn't come in until 1956 which could be considered Korean War era but not actually during the war. The khaki ties changed to green during the actual war years. There are plenty of picture of the khakis being worn with no tie or with a scarf during the war period.

Well, you are right. My description was not very good. What I meant with khakis is the winter service uniform with the Ike jackets.

I don't mean to be picky but the army has a specific name and number for everything and there is no khaki in the winter service uniform. Early on the shirt worn under the Ike jacket would have been OD wool and later replaced with a tan poplin shirt but the green wool tie pictured would have been worn with either. Even later (during the wear out period for the Ike Jacket) a different tan shirt with a single pocket and a black tie would be worn. The khaki chino shirt was not worn under the Ike Jacket although it was sometimes done it was not proper.

The uniform is OD - right. I always thought these were also called khakis. Here is the uniform for which I'm looking for the right necktie.

Based on the late specialist chevrons, and the fact that the jacket dates to the tail end of the Ike jacket era, the black tie could very well be accurate.

The jacket is informally referred to as an "Ike Jacket." The rounded tab at the waist tells me that this predates the M1950 jacket. I assume that it has fitted cuffs rather than straight cuffs. The jacket could date to WWII, though it is quite obvious that it was worn a good 10 years after the war. There should be a tag sewn to the inside of the interior chest pocket.
