WH84AO to me this mean something like: A company 1st Fire Support Base (?) Probably 1st Forward Support Battalion assigned to 2nd Armored Division (formerly of Fort Hood, TX), so abbreviated 1st FSB 2AD. The rest is probably an inventory number. C 1/92 FA = C-Battery, 1ST Battalion, 92ND Field Artillery So are probably not isolated cases. Is there a certain period in which this was done?
