Karl_B Posted March 9, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2007 My first and only US WW2 album. Follows an artillery unit in France to Switzerland and then Germany. Slowly scanning it in. Here are few images. The location name with the picture is CP Section Magstat Le Haut France. I can’t find this place on the net. Any guesses? Karl_B Posted June 4, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted June 4, 2007 A few albums jumped the scanning queue, but this one is back near the top. Found out Magstatt Le Haut has 2 ts, which makes sense now as there is reference to the Alsace region in France in a few of the photos. Further on into the album. Jeeper704 Posted June 5, 2007 Share #9 Posted June 5, 2007 Cool photo! Please put all four here if possible. Thanks. Is that a case for "potato mashers" I see there? Erwin.

Karl_B Posted June 6, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted June 6, 2007 In the last two photos Dave's tank is in the same position but with a different member of the unit standing in front. The 4th photo is bright with a lot of white through it and a lot of detail is washed out. Over exposed? I uploaded the better of the two Cheers Karl
Karl_B Posted June 8, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted June 8, 2007 Before Dave's tank.
Karl_B Posted June 9, 2007 Author Share #13 Posted June 9, 2007 Still working backwards Another from Bebelsheim. The town looks to have taken a huge hit. Each of the photos show extensive damage to the buildings and landscape. Cheers Karl
