gwb123 Posted January 5, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2020 As you enter Terminal 3 at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, you will find a large scale portrait of WWI fighter pilot and "balloon buster" Frank Luke. Luke was born in Phoenix. The portrait was done by Robert T. McCall. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Luke
gwb123 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted January 5, 2020 Apparently, elsewhere at the airport tram station, there is a restored Spad XIII painted in the colors of Frank Luke's aircraft. "The plane is approximately 80% original parts from several aircraft."
