aznation Posted December 29, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 29, 2019 I'm fairly certain the "W" at the beginning of that service number indicates a Warrant Officer. Although I couldn't find a match for that number I believe the following person is who your helmet and liner belonged to.

Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted December 29, 2019 Share #9 Posted December 29, 2019 I belive the various serial number databases are enlisted only. I know officer numbers are not included and I assume warrant officer numbers are the same.
aznation Posted December 29, 2019 Share #10 Posted December 29, 2019 Posted Today, 11:36 AM Thank You very much.I wonder why the number does not show up? You're welcome. One of the only databases that I'm aware of that contains Army Warrant Officer info/numbers is located here http://accident-report.com/officers/usa/awo.html and it only goes from 1942-1945, and even then might not be a complete listing. Since Charles O. Bradley didn't enlist until 22 Jan 1946 his name wouldn't have been in there anyway. He must've become a Warrant Officer some time after WWII. gnovi Posted December 29, 2019 Author Share #11 Posted December 29, 2019 What I find odd looking through the warrant officer list no number begins with w 22. I have only seen I helmet with the w 22 start and it was thought to be a post war occupation promotion? again thank for your time.
