Phantomf4 Posted December 24, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 24, 2019 These are shirt size and appear to be made from brass, they have a copper brass tone to them. Theatre made or just the finish worn off? They are not marked.
Reforger Posted December 24, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2019 Look like modern wings that were subdued but the black coating has been rubbed off.
Phantomf4 Posted December 24, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted December 24, 2019 Oh yeah.... i forgot all about the subdued wings. Thanks
Lee Ragan Posted December 24, 2019 Share #4 Posted December 24, 2019 Look like modern wings that were subdued but the black coating has been rubbed off. Air Force wings are not black when subdued like the Army wings. USAF normally does not use subdued metal badges, but use blue cloth badges. These were probably silver plated and the finish has just worn off.
mghcal Posted December 24, 2019 Share #5 Posted December 24, 2019 I would guess theater made maybe Korean War? But that's an off-the-wall guess. Here is a different pattern Korean war era piece to compare to. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Korean-War-5th-Air-Force-6127th-Air-Group-K-16-Wings-Airborne-Leathers-Size-L/113959315228

Almost like they came from the same shop/Maker. Semper Fi Phil.
