I know there are a lot of fakes out there, appreciate opinions on this one. If real, which I think it is, the price is still too rich for me. The uniform blade finish seems off compared to the handle finish? Maybe the 3rd pic is more realistic, looks like a flash was used.

It is original, and actually a pretty nice example. Hard to tell from those pics, but it looks like the handle might have been painted black.

 

There is a proper black tone on the handles of these, but this looks too thick.

 

As far as the price, it is worth what someone will pay I guess. I will say, in 20 years, I have seen one loose scabbard for sale.

Thanks for the input. I have several examples but am still gun shy at that price. If it had the sheath, with prongs, it would be a different story.
