85th Div picture, unusual helmet net

[BILL THE PATCH]

This small picture is from a 85th div grouping I have. The helmet net look like a usmc raider net. I can't recall seeing nets like this in the mto.

85th Div was in Italy, suspect then these are variations of French nets. I got another photo in a book that shows similar looking nets of French troops I have to scan it

Saw an article in a vintage divisional publication years ago, where troops were instructed how to make their own helmet nets using twine during their training. I suspect that is what we are seeing.

That would be a 85th Infantry Division publication?
