BryanJ Posted December 13, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 13, 2019 My wife showed me an add for an estate sale today here in town, of a former paratrooper who had a lot of airborne collectibles. Since wife and in-laws were baking holiday cookies at my house today, figured it was her way of giving me a great reason to leave, which I was glad to take advantage of. Turns out he had lots of pins, badges, patches, autographed posters, military books, etc. Every thing in photo came home with me, for $81. The service cap was the estate sale owner’s with his name stamped inside (anyone know time period?). The Band of Brothers book was first edition, 1992. The Eisenhower poster was framed. The Sean Connery photo was autographed, and with all the other autographed stuff he had, might be real. What red blooded guy could pass up anything of Farrah Fawcett for $4. And the Red Rider Barlow knife had to come home with me.
mikie Posted December 13, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 13, 2019 All that and fresh baked cookies too? So much for that Friday 13th bad luck thing! Congrats on a nice haul! Mikie
