NKina91 Posted December 9, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 9, 2019 Hey everyone, I am looking for opinions on these m36 suspenders. They are nicely marked froehlich co 1942. They have sewn on padding for the shoulders that has definitely been there a long time. Has anyone seen a modification like this or can anyone recognize the material? Thanks! thorin6 Posted December 9, 2019 Share #4 Posted December 9, 2019 Looks like typical webbing used by Airborne riggers.

ken88 Posted December 17, 2019 Share #8 Posted December 17, 2019 A seemingly factory customized version exists... See http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/269923-modified-m36-m1936-suspenders/ Your pair seems to suggest there was a need for the padding/modification. I'm guessing the unmodified ones must have been a pain around the neck and shoulders.
