mohawkALSE Posted December 4, 2019 Share #3 Posted December 4, 2019 Didn't we talk about these earlier pre SARVIP vests not long ago? I know I posted some pics on here for someone. They did have a PB label and it appears to also have a Army contract number. There is actually a bunch of pics I saw online from Natick showing the development of these test vests. mohawkALSE Posted December 4, 2019 Share #4 Posted December 4, 2019 I thought it was the same vest. Previous topic: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/331419-interesting-sar-vest/ And link showing the pics from Natick labs: https://www.digitalcommonwealth.org/search/commonwealth:nz808q072 Clearly shows the PB label

mohawkALSE Posted December 4, 2019 Share #7 Posted December 4, 2019 There seems to be at least 2 or 3 variations of these between pocket setup and extraction harness. All have that Point Blank label with a 80s Army contract number. I recall one of the ALSE FMs from 1983 or 84 had mentioned developmental ALSE and this vest was mentioned in it.
