These photos came from a larger grouping of photos from a Marine. The Marine was a photographer durn WW2.
These are pictures of Wake Island defender & commander of the 1st Marine Defense BN.
Shows the major after his release.

Thanks for posting. Great photos.  After all the damage they did to the initial Japanese attempts to take the island its lucky he survived. I think some defenders were executed.
