Edelweisse Posted December 1, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2019 Hi Folks: I recently found these US Army HBT trousers with 13-star buttons in a German flea market. I was surprized to find them when I spotted the 13-star buttons on a pair of green trousers laying there. When I looked them over....I found a small size tag sewn inside "W38 L33"....but I didn't see any contract data on the inside of the trousers. Is this normal....no contract stamps etc.? Do they OK? Thank you for your assistance and looking.

American Graffiti Posted December 1, 2019 Share #4 Posted December 1, 2019 Perfectly good, spec tag is usually in one of the pockets, but disappears after several washes AG
Edelweisse Posted December 1, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted December 1, 2019 AG....I want to thank you for your advice......I just checked one of the cargo pockets and found a tag "March 10, 1943 spec. w/P.O.# Oct 29, 1943" in perfect condition. These appear to have never been worn...like NOS. Again AG...THANK YOU

Edelweisse Posted December 1, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted December 1, 2019 Thanks Costa... on the other side of the world (Germany)...here I find a pair of WW2 HBT US Army trousers at a flea market. I was surprised to find them. As you can see ...I’m still a beginner in US military clothing ..especially WW2 and Korean War period gear. Thanks to AG I was able to locate a tag. I served 23 yrs in the USAF and am working in DOD logistics (civil service) for 47 years ...so I know Vietnam and later clothing and gear. Still learning on the above.
