Olive Green Beret was it used by a U.S. Unit

This beret came with a few other U.S. berets. It has a made in Korea tag. Was there any U.S. unit that may have used this color beret authorized or unauthorized ? It is an olive color not green like our Special Forces green beret. I'm thinking it was used by the U.S. because the collection it came from had no foreign pieces.

Yes, units of the 172nd Infantry Brigade (Sep) wore OD Berets in the 70s period.
