Recently got this one off of ebay and ID’d it, based on the name “Abe” from the photo, to Abraham Weiner, Svc Co 15th Inf. He earned his Silver Star in 1943 during the Italian Campaign, most likely during the invasion of Salerno. Haven’t been able to find much else online unfortunately, any help researching him would be much appreciated!

I came close to grabbing that one as well. I figured some digging would produce an ID...nice job!

Thanks for the kind words! So far I have not found much. I found his name mentioned a couple times in a book called “Board of Review Opinions North African Theatre Mediterranean Theatre”, where he was labeled as an investigating officer for the case. I also found his name cited as being the one that signed off on a statement given by a Sgt. of Co “B” 15th Inf. detailing Audie Murphy’s actions of singlehandedly wiping out an enemy position.
