General Apathy Posted November 11, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted November 11, 2019 Lest we forget . Merci beaucoup / thank you, I forgot to add the significance of adding this post today, today is the 11th of November the end of World War One. This morning I attended the remembrance service at my village church, where the names of all WWI villagers who died in WWI are read out and the words ' Mort pour France ' said after each name. I attended a second service in the village of Houesville, WWI banners in the village hall. lewis. .

RustyCanteen Posted November 24, 2019 Share #7 Posted November 24, 2019 Hi Ken, I just saw this today, but I always take time to observe the armistice day ('Veterans Day' in the USA) commemorations and anniversaries. Collectively we keep the torch of memory lighted in memory of their lives and sacrifices, a debt we can never repay.
