Brian Keith Posted November 11, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 11, 2019 I picked up this kit at a gun show; the knife was one of the contents. Components I see are dated 1967 and 1968. Container is marked: KIT-EMERGENCY, SUSTENANCE, AIR / TYPE E18 A SPEC / MIL-K-5775 I posted the full kit here: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/335108-usaf-type-e18-emergency-kit/ Thanks for looking, comments welcome! sactroop Posted November 12, 2019 Share #6 Posted November 12, 2019 Glad to see that dustin chimed in over on your original post. He literally wrote the book on WW2 emergency survival kits, and has been able to address some of my own questions regarding post WW2 survival kits used during the cold war. I'm envious of your find.
