Is it possible to say anything about this one with only these two pictures...

Any opinions at all very much appreciated!

Looks like a reproduction. Scabbard is a repro with that EGA stamped on it, and if there are black spacers behind the guard, and in front of the pommel it's a Kabar recent model. SKIP

Thank you for your answer. I really appreciate it.

Yes, there are a black spacer behind the guard and in front of the pommel.

So it is a recent Ka-Bar model made for commercial sales?

Recent model, does that mean 1970´s or 1980´s or….

Sorry for all the questions.... I am a collector of old Winchester lever actions but really want to learn more about these…. I got these from a friend who now have passed away so they mean a lot to me…

I believe Frank narrowed down the transition from parkerized blade to the present coating to the early 90's, so about 1976 to then.

Between how that knife has aged and the way the two pictures are taken you really have to take a long look at this one. Good that KA-BAR put a lot of tells in their repro knives.
