Hombre Posted October 29, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 29, 2019 My first post…. Thanks for letting me in. I have two Ka-Bar knives… This is one of them…. Is this a military issued one? Also is there any good book about the Ka-Bar knives with the different kind of markings and so on? Want to learn about these knives… Best, Hombre Sweden
SKIPH Posted October 29, 2019 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2019 Hombre- It's a late production Ontario. There are a lot of books out there, most current, is one written by "Bill Walters", lots of good photos. SKIP
Hombre Posted October 29, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted October 29, 2019 Thank you for your answer. I really appreciate it. Late production… Is it possible to say when it was manufactured or… Is this one for commercial sales or a military issue knife? mikedon Posted October 29, 2019 Share #4 Posted October 29, 2019 This MIL-K-20227 Ontario knife was made for the Government starting in 1980. I agree with SKIPH, if you just could purchase one WWII knife book, Bill Walters book would be the best. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/315967-new-book-now-available/?hl=%2Bbill+%2Bwalters+%2Bnew+%2Bbook
