Skysoldier80 Posted October 28, 2019 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2019 Looking at the colors it looks to be some type of patch from the Citadel, Military college. Even though our school does not have a Cavalry unit, we call our Fox Company F-Troop as a lineage to the Citadel Cadet Partisan Rangers who ride with General Wade Hampton. I may be wrong in this instance, but I have seen something Similar floating around the school years ago as an unofficial patch
itshistory Posted October 28, 2019 Share #3 Posted October 28, 2019 That design belongs as a companion piece to a bevo type weave patch for the 135th Aviation Company when it was a fixed wing unit flying the Caribou. The two pieces are illustrated in Ralph Young's second book about US Army in Vietnam 1963-1966 on page 144. The scan is of pieces from my collection.
