917601 Posted October 25, 2019 Share #2 Posted October 25, 2019 Headstamps are essential. The bandoleer lot numbers are 50's manufacture. "KW" headstamps are Korean manufacture ammo, bad reputation by the CMP who used to sell the stuff. You have a mismatch of ammo and bandoleers. WW2 dated .30 cal AP ( and ball) in original as issued full bandoleers in good condition bring about $100- $130+. Not all lost, post 52-53 black tip ( non corrosive) US made AP rounds bring $1.00-1.50 each.Korean stuff much less.
917601 Posted October 25, 2019 Share #3 Posted October 25, 2019 I studied your pics, two bandoleers are for M1 carbine, not Garand. The entire lot is a gross mismatch. No collector value. Ditch ( or shoot) the civilian 30.06, read the headstamps ( ditch the Korean stuff- notorious for mis-fires), identify the en blocs as WW2 issue and fill them with WW2 dated ammo if you have any. Post WW2 enblocs bring about $1.50 each, WW2 manufacture higher...or, you can pull the AP projectiles and reload for your own enjoyment. Most shooters will not run Korean ammo through their barrels, okay for bolt guns but do not expect any accuracy....loads of fun shooting through steel railroad tracks....rusty, old unused tracks of course. cagedfalcon Posted October 25, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted October 25, 2019 Will try to get back for headstamp pics. I think one bandelier was empty & is what caused some confusion. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
