M1916 Holster Question

Ebay seller is listing a FINK '41 dated holster. The '41 does not match the size and shape of the FINK lettering, unlike a ENGER KRESS '44 or a SEARS '42 which makes me wonder did any other maker besides BOYT make a '41 dated holster. I am not saying that the FINK 41 is not what it is purported to be, but the letter/number difference does make be somewhat suspicious. Anybody out there that could shed some light on this?

I have been collecting USGI holsters for 30+ years. I have never encountered a Fink holster with a '41 date, or any date for that matter. I suppose anything is possible, but a dated Fink M1916 holster does not seem likely to me. If that holster was presented to me, I'd take a pass on it.

Charlie

Phantomfixer made a good point about the 41 lettering style. I really don't believe that this lettering was a style and size that would have found a place in this country and at this time in the U.S. military supply industry. I have been collecting WWII militaria for about 20 years now and have come to the point where I firmly believe, until proven otherwise by credible evidence, that BOYT is the ONLY M1916 holster maker to make and stamp a '41 dated holster.
