If you look up Marshall Field you should find another thread on these. They're fairly rare I think I've seen 3 or 4 now. To be clear there is no concrete evidence really of these being made by Marshall Field it's just a guess as of now. Really high-end quality wing tho.

This is the second one I've seen sold on ebay this year, although this might be the one I saw sold earlier just being re-sold for a profit.

The same hallmark was used on other fashion jewelry items so I am convinced it is for Marshall Field. It would have been nice for companies like Marshall Field and Whitehead & Hoag to have used only a single hallmark that was clear and distinctive.

FYI. For anyone who doesnt know.. Marshall Fields was a big department store on State Street in Chicago.

It was a Chicago institution of sorts. My Grandma shopped there in the early 1900's, my Mom used to go there with her Mom in the 1930's.

They had a restaurant on I think it was the 5th floor. And in the center of the building was a courtyard and every Christmas they would install

a hundred foot christmas tree you could see through the windows inside in the center of the building.

They made famous Frango Mints at Marshal Fields.

My Dad used to take me to the sports section where there was a giant stuffed Kodiak Bear. Like 12 foot tall.

They had a great toy section. This was in the late 1960's.

The store is still there but its not the same. Macys bought it some years ago.

They probably had some other company produce the wings and they sold them under the Marshall Fields name.

Jewelers row is right there in the vicinity of where Marshall fields stands.

So It more than likely they were produced on Jewelers row in Chicago.

Cant prove it but its likely.

I picked up a copy of the "Great Lakes Recruit" magazine from November of 1918.  Marshall Field had a full page ad in the magazine, but they didn't explicitly advertise any of their uniforms or insignia in it.
